So, work has kept me super busy and it has been ages since I just got to draw for fun, and as you can see am a bit rusty haha, but me and a bunch of the artists from work went to the SF zoo today and had a bit of a sketch jam. I have to say, it is the most fun I have had just getting to draw for drawings sake in a while. I think my favorite animal to draw are giraffes... they have these awesome expressive eyes, and pretty amazing contour shapes to their body. They are really easy to inject some character into.

The game that I have been working on for the past few months has gone live on Facebook... Its called SuperPocus. You get to adopt a magical creature, take care of it, and cast spells on all your friends. I am really proud of it. It is the biggest single animation project I have taken on and its awesome to see it live :)

Did this quick sketch of one of my favorite characters. Its Whaleboy, by Patrick Morgan (http://www.patrickmorganart.blogspot.com/). Love his style, and he is a super cool guy. I have met been to his booth a few times at comic-con the past few years, and on top of being a great artist, he is one of the friendliest people you will meet.

Here is a pic I did for my friend Ned...I have been doing his artwork for his comic con party for the past few years, unfortunately, this year work has kept me so busy that it has been hard to find the time to do more "fun" stuff like this.

This years theme is heroes vs villains. I used the old hero, Captain Rich's (named after the club the party is thrown), and the villain, the Gym Bunny.

So you want to be a Superhero

Wow, I just caught a marathon of Who Wants to Be A Superhero, and for those who don't know, it is a reality show on Sci Fi with contestants who make up their own heros, and compete doing hero stuff, for Stan Lee, who is the godfather of Marvel Comics. I just couldnt stop watching. Anyhoot, there is a gay character, Parthenon, whos powers come from a gauntlet he wears with Atlantian Stones, and I decided to do myself a little sketch. Really there arent enough adorable boys clad in spandex I say.

This is a still frame sketch for a concept I was working on for a comedian named Dat Phan. I was working for a small production company in San Diego that was filming his show, and we were in charge of doing the opening credits animation. The show was called "East meets West" and we tried to do a campy fun take on incorporating elements of both sides.

He wanted more diversity for his icons b/c it is very popular overseas, and most of the avatars he can pic up offline are very white centric.
